Texas Right to Life PAC is proud to endorse Glenn Hegar for Comptroller

Texas Right to Life PAC proudly endorses State Senator Glenn Hegar for his election to Comptroller of the State of Texas.

Since entering the Texas Capitol in 2003 as a member of the State House of Representatives and also as a State Senator, Glenn Hegar has been an ardent defender of innocent human life.  Senator Hegar recognizes the value of all human life, including those lives manufactured through scientific means, and Senator Hegar has also stood with Texas Right to Life to reform the Texas Advance Directive Law that victimizes the dying and the disabled from receiving medical treatment.

In 2011, Senator Hegar co-authored and voted for the Sonogram Law of 2011 and supported the budget strategy to remove over $64 million from the Texas abortion industry.  Most recently, Senator Hegar was the sponsor of the Preborn Pain Bill and also of House Bill 2, which is the Pro-Life Omnibus Bill that passed during the recent special session of the Legislature.  Due to Senator Hegar’s leadership, preborn babies who can feel pain will be spared from torturous late abortions in Texas.

Elizabeth Graham, Director for Texas Right to Life, commented, “Senator Hegar has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to protect innocent human life through public policy in Texas, and we would be honored to continue our close working relationship with him as the state’s Comptroller of Public Accounts.

Senator Hegar shares Texas Right to Life’s legislative goals and strategy, and he would be another asset to the cause as a statewide elected official.”

Senator Hegar shares Texas Right to Life’s position that every innocent human life must be protected from fertilization until natural death, and Texas Right to Life PAC is proud to endorse his candidacy for Comptroller.

Texas Right to Life is the largest and oldest statewide Pro-Life organization in Texas.
