Pro-Life NFL star Tim Tebow opens hospital in country where his mom chose LIFE

Tim Tebow has partnered with CURE (a Christian medical organization) to open a children’s hospital in Davao City, Philippines. The hospital specializes in pediatric orthopedic care, and several children have already received successful surgeries at the Tebow CURE Hospital.

According to Tebow CURE Hospital’s website, “CURE Philippines will provide pediatric orthopedic surgical care, helping children with treatable conditions like clubfoot and spinal deformities.” Without the intervention of a hospital like the Tebow CURE Hospital, these children could be left to suffer from serious deformities for the rest of their lives.

Just before Christmas that the hospital reported having already been performed operations on four children who are all recovering well. There are already ninety more children on a waiting list hoping to receive similar procedures at the hospital.

The Philippines is a location far from home, but close to Tim’s heart. While she was doing mission work in the Philippines with her husband, Pam Tebow became ill with dysentery. Doctors told her that her son was a “mass of cells” and a “fetal tumor” that needed to be “removed” to save her life. But Pam stood firm and did not heed this advice, choosing instead Life for her son. Tim shared:

I was born in the Philippines, and my parents have been missionaries to that area for over 30 years. The Philippines have always had a special place in my heart. I’m excited to be a part of this hospital that will bring physical and spiritual healing to thousands of children who would not otherwise have access to care.

Tim is an internationally acclaimed athlete and today he works as a well-known sports analyst with ESPN.
