Fifth undercover video reveals horrifying daily practices of Houston’s "mega" Planned Parenthood

The Center for Medical Progress has released a fifth video, this time highlighting the illegal operations of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC) – the mega Planned Parenthood abortion mill at which Pro-Lifers gathered for last week’s Houston #WomenBetrayed Rally.  The video contains more graphically disturbing footage of the aborted remains of a set of twins who were between 18 and 20 weeks’ gestation.  Their fully-formed organs and severed limbs are seen held by instruments and shifted around as undercover actors examine the “intactness” of fetal remains for the purposes of harvesting high-value tissues.

Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast’s director of research, Melissa Farrell, candidly acknowledges that their standard practice is to prioritize the procurement menus of researchers over the wellbeing of pregnant women.  This, she reveals, often involves the delivery of intact fetuses, as providing full cadavers is the gold standard for researchers.  Farrell also states that sometimes the abortionists are the researchers, and that they manipulate the procedures to procure whatever they themselves desire.

In case there was any doubt: this is not, by any stretch of the imagination, legal activity.  As the Center for Medical Progress has repeatedly iterated, federal law prohibits altering an abortion in any way to aid the procurement of fetal tissue.  The law reads:  No alteration of the timing, method, or procedures used to terminate the pregnancy was made solely for the purposes of obtaining the tissue.  Federal Health and Human Services regulations likewise dictate:The timing and method of abortion should not be influenced by the potential uses of fetal tissue for transplantation or medical research.

Planned Parenthood balks in the face of the law, however, proving that their political gamesmanship knows no bounds – not even the submission of bald-faced lies to the public.  This diamond of a lie, to give just one example of many, was posted on PPGC’s Facebook page last week:

But Farrell, who works for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, told CMP investigators: “Our organization has been doing research for many, many, many years…  And then, I think, everyone realizes, especially because my department contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our research department is the largest in the United States, larger than any other affiliates’ combined.”

The straight-talking National Director of Priests for Life, Fr. Frank Pavone, said that this may be the time for Planned Parenthood’s law-breaking abortionists to join indicted Pennsylvania murderer Kermit Gosnell in prison:

[The latest video] raises the disturbing question as to whether some of these babies are born alive and then killed.  Kermit Gosnell is serving life sentences for doing that.  It may be time for some Planned Parenthood doctors to join him in prison.  The discussion of full cadavers is no surprise to me; in fact, I have obtained full cadavers of aborted babies, in order to bury them, from pathologists who in turn got them from abortion clinics.

Governor Greg Abbott has already responded to the grotesque content of the fifth video, and has made a promise to Planned Parenthood and Texas taxpayers: Texas will continue aggressively to investigate.
