Texas Right to Life Announces Smith County Endorsements
Today, Texas Right to Life, the oldest, largest, and most effective statewide Pro-Life organization in Texas announced the endorsement of strong Pro-Life conservatives running for Smith County offices, including Sara Maynard for County Court at Law 3, Fritz Hager for Smith County Commissioner Precinct 1, and John Moore for Smith County Commissioner Precinct 2.
Texas Right to Life released the following statements about each candidate:
Sara Maynard for Smith County Court at Law 3
“As we have seen with the 2021 Texas Heartbeat Act, our judges will be on the front lines in the fight to protect innocent Life. We need strong conservatives like Sara Maynard on the bench who have a proven record of valuing the sanctity of Life. That is why Texas Right to Life strongly endorses Sara Maynard for judge. Sara will join other Smith County officials, including state Senator Bryan Hughes, Representative Matt Schaefer, and Judge Austin Reeve Jackson in standing up for those most vulnerable in our society.”
Fritz Hager for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 1
“Fritz Hager is a proven fighter. He has fought for our country, he has fought for our conservative values, and he has fought to protect innocent human Life. That is why Texas Right to Life supports Fritz Hager for Smith County Commissioner. Fritz is a strong leader who will stand for Life even in difficult circumstances.”
John Moore for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2
“John Moore is an unapologetic Pro-Life conservative who will go to the mat to protect the sanctity of Life. Texas Right to Life supports John Moore for Smith County Commissioner. We need more strong, Pro-Life voices in local government, and John Moore will be that voice.”
Texas Right to Life was founded in 1973 to strengthen and coordinate the defense of innocent human Life. Each election cycle, the organization researches and interviews candidates running for office, from local positions through the president of the United States. Based on the information gathered, Texas Right to Life endorses candidates based on their support and commitment to the sanctity of Life.
In addition to the Smith County candidates listed above, Texas Right to Life has endorsed Texas Congressional District 1 candidate Nathaniel Moran, Senator Bryan Hughes, and Representative Matt Schaefer.
