National abortion leader: babies are "human beings who deserve to be loved and wanted"

Abortion zealots are in the thick of a campaign to convince the world that they aren’t really anti-Life—they’re actually pro-parenting by choice. “Pregnant, Parenting, Pro-Choice” is the Tumblr page where dedicated supporters of child-killing can explain that, even though they don’t believe children have the basic Right to Life, they love their own kids. The page was apparently established in reaction to comments made by Pro-Lifers after Ilyse Hogue, NARAL Pro-Choice America president, announced that she was pregnant with twins. The Washington Post, in a piece whose gushy fawning over Hogue has been called “slavishly servile,” reports:
“There is this whole mentality that anyone who fights for the rights that we fight for must hate children and not want to parent,” she says. “So to have the leader of a reproductive rights organization — an abortion rights organization — show up pregnant, it’s just jaw-dropping… It’s like, ‘What don't you get about choice meaning choice?’”
However, Hogue admitted to the Washington Post that she was insecure about her own pregnancy because she didn’t know how her fellow abortion advocates would react to the news that she had chosen Life for her children. “I admit, I had trepidation about telling people,” she says of her fellow advocates. “Is it going to change the way they look at me? Are they going to treat me differently?” Whether the Tumblr was actually designed to give abortion advocates who chose Life a platform for defending their decision or for something else, one thing is certain: The posts have been fascinating.
One supporter of the “Pregnant, Parenting, Pro-Choice” campaign, Megan Peterson, is the Deputy Director of the National Network of Abortion Funds. She’s also a mom. Peterson’s job is to ensure that every elective abortion in the United States is funded. Pro-abortion RH Reality Check shared the following tweet about Peterson:

The cognitive dissonance that prompts some abortion advocates to defend their position by ignoring the Life of the preborn child and focusing solely on the mother is disjointed enough. But outspokenly acknowledging the value of both the mother’s and the child’s Life – while simultaneously defending a mother’s right to kill the other person based on so-called bodily autonomy or a perceived right to “self-determination” regarding abortion – is an even more disturbing phenomenon altogether. The very definition of self-determination suggests that only one person is involved—the self, entirely ignoring the child.
And that is exactly what Peterson does. Her full quote on the Tumblr was, “I love being a mom more than anything, but my pregnancy, birth, and parenting experiences have only made it more obvious to me how important it is to be able to make that decision for yourself. Babies aren’t punishment for having sex. They’re human beings who deserve to be loved and wanted.”
The argument here seems to be predicated on the belief that the actual child who made Peterson a parent does not matter. We know, we know; she said that all children deserve to be loved and wanted. But how can one really believe that all children deserve to be loved and wanted, and that all children should be at the fatal mercy of an abortionist based on their parent’s whims simultaneously? And why, if an abortion fundraiser really believes that every child deserves love, is she not fundraising to secure more adoptions for the couples who desperately want to love a child?
Simply put, Peterson, and “Pregnant, Parenting, Pro-Choice,” attempts to join utterly contradictory views. To love and hate children at the same time is a logical impossibility. Humans simply aren’t capable of fully accepting diametrically opposed views, regardless of how convenient they are for explaining your contradictory beliefs.
