Elizabeth Graham, Texas director to the National Right to Life Committee, will be the keynote speaker at the 41st annual Celebration of Life Banquet on February 28 at The Crowne Plaza, 830 Phillips Ln.; a reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for students. For reservations, call RTL of Louisville at (502) 895-5959.

“Most people have heard of Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis.  How could they not with all the fawning media coverage she received for defending late-term abortions. But just wait until they hear about Elizabeth Graham, who heads Texas’ largest, oldest, and only state right to life group with a membership over 250,000 households” said Margie Montgomery, executive director of the Right to Life of Louisville.

Elizabeth Graham was at the forefront of the battle in Texas last year over the state’s pro-life legislative agenda that included protecting late-term, unborn babies from painful abortions.  Graham now finds herself in what some consider to be ground zero in the abortion “rights” battle in the lone star state as abortion “rights” star Wendy Davis seeks to succeed pro-life Governor Rick Perry.

Montgomery added, “What happened in Texas last year is encouraging, instructive, and very interesting.  Elizabeth will share important information we’ve not seen reported in the news media.  Plus Elizabeth brings tremendous knowledge about what has become a critical concern for the pro-life community – denial or removal of life-sustaining medical treatment in hospitals.”

Right to Life of Louisville is Kentucky’s largest affiliate of Kentucky Right to Life Association and National Right to Life Committee.

* Note: originally scheduled keynote speaker Carly Fiorina had an unexpected emergency and canceled her engagement, with regrets.
