Dear President Obama: Stop discriminating against the victims of violence who don’t further your agenda

President Obama has once again shown his commitment to the abortion movement through acts of solidarity with Planned Parenthood.  Obama made two statements of support in as many weeks since the Colorado Springs shooting that claimed the lives of three, including Pro-Life police officer Garrett Swasey.  Obama harnessed the tragedy for the dual purpose of promoting his anti-gun agenda, and of showing support for the embattled abortion conglomerate.  Many in Congress and most Americans disagree with the President’s radical stance on abortion and his support for Planned Parenthood, especially in the wake of expository videos catching the abortion giant in a host of potentially illegal and unquestionably barbaric activities. 

The New York Times observed that Obama reacted “angrily” to the Planned Parenthood shooting.  Indeed, Obama said “enough is enough” about the gun use at Planned Parenthood that day.  The use of guns – not the violence that ensued – is what lit the fire under Obama.  If violence concerned the President at all, he would have issued a statement decrying Planned Parenthood for their barbaric cruelty to the preborn – especially after the mangled bodies of children aborted at Planned Parenthood were displayed on video and made fully accessible to White House staff by the Center for Medical Progress.  Instead of denouncing that violence, Obama’s spokesman repeatedly brushed off the proof that Planned Parenthood commits violence and indicated that the videos did not even merit viewing within the Oval Office.

But Obama was quick to respond to gun violence in Colorado Springs, saying: “This is not normal.  We can’t let it become normal.  If we truly care about this — if we’re going to offer up our thoughts and prayers again, for God knows how many times, with a truly clean conscience — then we have to do something about the easy accessibility of weapons of war on our streets to people who have no business wielding them.  Period.”

And again, just days later, Obama lavished his attention on Planned Parenthood when he sent a representative to a “solidarity” (read: fundraising) event following the shooting with a message of praise for their abortion work, although he conspicuously avoided the word “abortion.”

Obama has long cozied up to Planned Parenthood (and their PAC funding).  During the murder trial of now-indicted Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell in 2013, Obama audaciously called on God to “bless” Planned Parenthood’s abortion work, while refusing to utter a word in condemnation of Gosnell’s horrific crimes.  Obama’s reelection campaign was bolstered by his friend and Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, who took time off from work to blaze the campaign trail to promote the duo’s shared anti-Life political agenda.  In 2013, President Obama took to Twitter to applaud Wendy Davis during her attempt to upend the Life-saving legislation now known as House Bill 2, or the Pro-Life Omnibus Bill of the 2013 Legislative Session.
