John Browning: The Pro-Life Alternative to Ken King
Republican voters want their leaders to stand up for preborn babies and fight against abortion. Unfortunately, Rep. Ken King has repeatedly betrayed that trust. That’s why it’s time for the Panhandle to send a true conservative to Austin, and John Browning is the man for the job!
Last year, Ken King killed a critical Pro-Life bill that would have protected Texas mothers and babies from the 19,000 deadly abortion pills flooding Texas yearly. After the Woman and Child Protection Act passed the Texas Senate, it was sent to King’s House committee, where he single-handedly killed it by slow-walking the measure until it was too late. He refused to call for a vote on the bill until days before its deadline, and then never sent it to the next step in the legislative process.
Only after public pressure from more than 130 Pro-Life leaders, along with calls from Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Governor Greg Abbott during a special session, did King allow a less comprehensive version to move forward.
This obstruction came at a time when abortion pills are flooding into Texas through mail-order schemes and out-of-state distributors. Instead of helping, King stood in the way.
And this was not an isolated failure.
In 2017, Ken King voted with Democrats to weaken Pro-Life protections. That same year, he refused to vote to ban dismemberment abortions. He voted against protecting children with disabilities from late-term abortions, and in 2019, King again rejected efforts to defend preborn babies diagnosed with disabilities.
Time and again, when it mattered most, Ken King sided against Life.
Texans deserve bold, unapologetic leadership, not political maneuvering that costs innocent lives. That is why Pro-Life voters are rallying behind John Browning, a conservative who will fight to stop abortion pill trafficking and strengthen Texas’ commitment to Life!
The stakes could not be higher. If we want to protect mothers and save preborn children, we must replace Ken King with a representative who will stand firmly and consistently for Life.
Vote John Browning and kick the anti-Life King out of Austin once and for all!
Early voting runs February 17-27. Election Day is March 3. Find the full Pro-Life Voter Guide here.
