Texas Right to Life Endorses Mayes Middleton for Texas Attorney General
Texas Right to Life PAC is proud to endorse Mayes Middleton for Texas attorney general in the 2026 Republican Primary.
The Texas attorney general is one of the most important leaders for the Pro-Life movement, not just here, but for the entire country. Texas has guided the nation by enacting and defending strong Pro-Life laws. Today, one of the most critical ways to stop abortion is enforcement. Radical activists cunningly and brazenly kill babies by selling pills online or sneaking them over the border. Without a bold attorney general, even the strongest Pro-Life laws become meaningless, and years of legislative progress are put at risk.
Texas Senator Mayes Middleton has a solid record of Pro-Life leadership.
During his service in the Texas Legislature, Middleton earned perfect Pro-Life scores on the Pro-Life Scorecard. He supported and fought for bills to protect children, crack down on illegal abortions, stop taxpayer dollars from funding abortion costs, and save vulnerable hospital patients.
Middleton is a leader. The attorney general is in charge of a large team that has to defend Texas’ laws when challenged by abortion activists. Having experience being the principal officeholder, running a team of staff and attorneys, and being on the front line of Pro-Life legislative fights for the last seven years, Middleton is prepared for this new responsibility.
Texas’ next attorney general must tackle the pressing threat of illegal abortion drugs. Traffickers bring at least 19,000 deadly pills into Texas every year.
With this election, Texas voters must choose someone who will carry out Texas’ bold lawsuits to completion and go beyond our state’s previous Pro-Life accomplishments.
Along with two other candidates, Mayes Middleton publicly signed all eight commitments on the Texas Right to Life Pro-Life Pledge, promising to voters that he will, without loopholes or hedging, work to defend all innocent human Life from fertilization to natural death at the state and federal levels.
Texas Right to Life President Dr. John Seago stated:
“Texas Right to Life PAC endorses Mayes Middleton because he has shown the courage, clarity, and consistent leadership the Pro-Life movement demands. As attorney general, he will be a steadfast defender of our laws and a leader at the forefront of our ongoing campaign to protect the Right to Life of all Americans.”
For Texas voters who care about Life, the choice is clear: Mayes Middleton for Texas attorney general. Early voting runs February 17-27. Election Day is March 3. Find the full Pro-Life Voter Guide here.
