Stand for Life: Re-Elect Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock to the Texas Supreme Court

Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock is a faithful servant of the Constitution and a proven defender of innocent human life. During his time on the Supreme Court of Texas, he has consistently recognized that the Right to Life is fundamental, constitutionally protected, and worthy of the Court’s full defense. For this reason, Texas Right to Life is thrilled to announce our re-endorsement of Blacklock!

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Jimmy Blacklock to the Supreme Court of Texas in 2017. Since then, he has faithfully followed Texas law and respected the choices made by our elected leaders to protect unborn babies. Over the years, he has ruled in favor of many Pro-Life laws that reflect the values of Texans.

Anti-Life Democrats targeted Justice Blacklock in 2024, in an attempt to remove him from the Court and undermine Texas’s Pro-Life victories. Their effort failed. Even amid heightened national tension over abortion, Texans overwhelmingly re-elected Justice Blacklock, affirming their trust in his judgment and commitment to the rule of law.

Following the retirement of Chief Justice Nathan Hecht, Justice Blacklock was selected in 2025 to serve as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas. He brings clarity, integrity, and courage to this critical role at a time when Texas courts remain a key line of defense for preborn children and their mothers.
